This 1969 Dodge Charger was acquired by the seller in 2006 and was subsequently fitted with a rebuilt 440ci V8 equipped with three two-barrel carburetors. The car has been refinished in metallic blue with an R/T-style white tail stripe, and the black interior was redone under current ownership. Equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission, Magnum 500–style 15″ wheels, tubular headers, an aftermarket tachometer, a B&M shifter, and a Kenwood head unit. Work in late 2023 reportedly involved overhauling the carburetors, installing an electric fuel pump, and replacing the brake master cylinder.
The car was finished from the factory in Light Blue Metallic (B3) and is said to have been repainted under prior ownership in the early 2000s. Exterior details include a white R/T-style tail stripe, concealed headlights, chrome bumpers, a remote-adjustable driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller states that the windshield was replaced under previous ownership. Overspray is evident on the front turn-signal lenses, and the seller notes dings and chips in the paint and scratches on the trim. Close-up images detailing the badging, lighting, and trim are provided in the gallery below.
Magnum 500–style 15″ wheels are mounted with 245/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is handled by unassisted four-wheel drums, and the brake master cylinder was reportedly replaced in late 2023.
Previously upholstered in blue vinyl, the cabin was retrimmed in black upholstery with leather front seating surfaces in the early 2010s. Appointments include high-back front bucket seats, a B&M shifter, and black Charger-branded rubber floor mats. A Kenwood head unit mounted beneath the passenger-side front seat can be managed via a remote control. The push-button Plymouth AM radio in the dashboard is disconnected, and air-conditioning components have been removed from the car, rendering both features non-functional. A sheetmetal section has been riveted in place on the trunk floor.
A three-spoke steering wheel wears a wrap and fronts instrumentation that includes a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. An aftermarket tachometer is mounted to the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller; true mileage is unknown. The oil-pressure gauge does not work.
The 440ci HP2 V8 was manufactured in 1969 and is said to have been installed by the seller during the mid-2000s after the engine was bored .060″ over and fitted with three Holley two-barrel carburetors, a corresponding intake manifold, and Hooker tubular exhaust headers. The carburetors were rebuilt and an electric fuel pump installed in late 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 727 TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Corrosion is noted on underside components.
